Hey there...

I’m Alia. Being human is tricky, messy, and sometimes painful , and that’s exactly what we’ll explore together. You can bring the awkward, confusing, or heavy parts of your life. I’ll meet you there with honest insight, a grounded perspective, and a knack for noticing the patterns and connections that are easy to miss. You don’t have to figure it out alone. I have compassion for this experience we’re all having as humans.
On a personal note, my connection with nature is evident in my website. I have a profound and abiding love for the natural world: trees, stars, mountains, and the outdoors altogether. Spending time alone in nature, rejuvenates and connects me to a sense of inner peace and something undefinable.
5/5 Would recommend.

I embrace and support individuals of all gender expressions and sexual orientations. My practice is a safe and judgment-free space where clients can explore their authentic selves without fear of discrimination and judgment. My goal is to provide a supportive environment where clients feel understood, accepted, and empowered to navigate their unique experience. Your spiritual beliefs (or lack thereof) are welcome here. I work with many clients with non-traditional / non-religious spiritual beliefs.

Focus Areas
I work with adults (18+) who experience:
Anxiety
Depression
Trauma
Religious trauma
Relationship issues
Emotional dysregulation
Life transitions
(Adult) Children of Emotionally Immature Parents
Self-love & forgiveness
Stress / burnout
Attachment styles
I am dedicated to helping people cultivate a deep sense of self-love, acceptance, and compassion, which is the bedrock of healing. When people embrace self-love and compassion, they naturally extend kindness and empathy to others. I believe that fostering these attributes within ourselves is essential for both personal and global healing.
Modalities
I employ various methods tailored to suit your preferences. The main modalities I draw from are:
Insight Oriented Therapy (see below)
Acceptance & Commitment Therapy
Narrative Therapy
Trauma informed therapy
Reparenting
Consciousness studies
Polyvagal Theory
Mindfulness and Meditation
Like most therapists, I am eclectic in my approach and am able to draw from various theories and interventions in addition to this list.

What is insight oriented therapy?
Insight-oriented therapy delves into a person's buried thoughts, emotions, and past experiences to uncover the roots of their current challenges. By exploring these underlying motivations and conflicts, insight therapy can give clients a deep self-awareness and understanding. This process can lead to significant personal growth as clients gain insight into how their past influences their present behavior and relationships. Inherent in this process are many opportunities to develop self-love, acceptance, forgiveness, and compassion. It's like psychological detective work that helps individuals uncover the hidden factors shaping their lives, enabling them to rewrite their personal story and achieve lasting change.
Remember, therapy will be tailored to your needs and comfort level. If these considerations resonate with you, insight-oriented therapy could be an impactful choice for your personal growth.
